The online submission of applications for admission to the public Vocational Training Institutes IEK Tourism for the academic year 2023-2024 begins today and will last until Monday, September 11. Applications will be made exclusively through the special link on the website www.mintour.edu.gr.

The applications concern the coverage of 881 positions in the eight public IEK Tourism that operate under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism in Anavyssos Attica, Perea Thessaloniki, Heraklion Crete, Corfu, Rhodes, Argos, Galaxidi and Alexandroupoli, in the following specialties: a) staff of hospitality units , b) culinary art technician – chef (chef), c) baker – pastry technician, d) management and economics executive in the tourism sector.

It is noted that for the second year in a row, the two new experimental tourism training specialties will operate at the IEK Macedonia in Thessaloniki for a) executives of hospitality companies specializing in the field of room management and b) executives of travel and tourism companies. With these two experimental specialties, the Ministry of Tourism aspires to put innovation at the core of tourism education, while for the educational, scientific and research support of the experimental specialties, the Association of Tourist Offices of Macedonia-Thrace (ETGMTH), the Hotel Chamber of Greece (XEE) and the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau (TCB).

For the first time this year, the new experimental specialty “Executives of travel and tourism companies” will operate in Corfu, at the IEK Tourism Institute of the Ionian Islands, after its successful first implementation at the Macedonian IEK Tourism Institute.
Everyone who holds a General, Technical or Vocational High School diploma has the right to apply to the public IEK Tourism, regardless of age.

Candidates who completed a parallel computerized report, but did not succeed in being admitted to an IEK department, also retain the right to participate.
