60% of the 9,378 approved loans concern young couples, while 88% concern beneficiaries with an annual income of less than 24,000 euros
On Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., the deadline for submitting applications for the “My Home” housing program ends.
As the Public Employment Service (DYPA) states in its announcement, since the start of the program on April 3, 2023 until today, more than 40,000 applications have been submitted, of which 23,875 received pre-approval and 9,378 proceeded to the approval stage, i.e. the legal and the technical inspection of the property, committing 742 million euros from the total budget of 750 million euros of DYPA for the program.

Most loans have been approved in the Region of Attica (39%) and in the Region of Central Macedonia (22%), followed by the Regions of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace (7%), Thessaly (6%) and Western Greece (6%).
The approvals have committed a total of 989.5 million euros and the average loan amounts to 105,510 euros.
It is recalled that, through the program “My house”, young people or young couples, aged 25-39, who do not have a property suitable for residence and meet specific income criteria, can acquire a first home with a monthly installment significantly lower than that corresponding to market mortgages, as 75% of the capital is granted interest-free by DYPA, while, for those with three children , those with many children and those who acquire this status, the loan is interest-free in its entirety.
The “Spiti My” program is implemented with the partnership of DYPA, the Hellenic Development Bank (EAT) and 10 cooperating banking institutions of the country, observing an absolute order of priority from the beginning of the applications.
It should be noted that those interested who have already submitted an application and received financial pre-approval from their bank can, as long as the stipulated period of 60 days has not expired, provide the unique number of the property they are interested in and, subsequently, the bank will submit to the EBA their request.
Howeverattention is drawn to those concerned that for the course of these applications, a corresponding order of priority will be observed and the final inclusion in the “My Home” program will take place, as long as previous – already included – applications are canceled and resources are released.
