New first aid payments were made today to those affected by the floods that occurred at the beginning of September in various regions of the country, especially in Thessaly. In particular, on Tuesday, 4,243,390 euros were credited to citizens’ bank accounts.

In particular, 1,358,961 euros were paid to 384 natural persons to deal with basic living needs and simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods in areas affected by the September floods.

These are payments that resulted from the cross-checks made by the officers of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid in the applications submitted to the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr. At the same time, payments of 252,429 euros were made to 40 beneficiaries of first aid against housing assistance and payments of 2,632,000 euros were made to 1,240 businesses, as first aid against the subsidy of businesses affected by the floods, which include livestock units and agricultural holdings.

Cumulatively, therefore, to date, 86.4 million euros have been paid to 22,458 applicants, who have been affected by the unprecedented flooding phenomenon that hit Thessaly, but also areas of Central Greece.

Regarding the distribution of first aid to households, businesses, livestock breeders and farmers of each regional unit, it is stated that:

* In the regional unit of Karditsa, 41.5 million euros have been allocated so far to 9,523 interested parties.

* In the regional unit of Larissa, 20.5 million euros have been allocated so far to 5,920 interested parties.

* In the regional unit of Trikala, 14.4 million euros have been allocated so far to 3,728 interested parties.

* In the regional unit of Magnesia, 7.8 million euros have been allocated so far to 2,502 interested parties.

* In the regional unit of Fthiotida, 2.1 million euros have been allocated so far to 785 interested parties.

At the same time, the process of cross-checking the data submitted through the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr, continues, as well as the automated identification process, where available data emerges. Therefore, in the following days, payments will continue as normal. It is reminded that the flood victims in the said areas, whose details are not obtained through the automated identification process by the AADE, can submit an application at arogi.gov.gr, so that they too receive the compensation they are entitled to. Of course, the flood-affected citizens who are in the other, several, affected areas are also invited to submit an application, as has been done to a significant extent until today.

The deadline for submitting applications to arogi.gov.gr expires today, October 31, and will be reopened in the next period, after a necessary cross-checking and clearing process regarding the applications that have been submitted so far.
