The Autophorous Three-Member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki imposed a sentence of two years and four months in prison, with a three-year suspension, on a 36-year-old fan association leader, who was arrested last Thursday during parallel police investigations in a total of 13 fan clubs across Thessaloniki. The motive was the murder of the 19-year-old, two 24 hours earlier, in the area of ​​Charilaou, but the operation in the liaisons was not connected with the investigations to locate the perpetrators of the deadly attack.

After a long hearing, the 36-year-old head of the fan association located on the east side of Thessaloniki, was found guilty, without mitigation, of illegal possession of weapons and possession of objects that could cause bodily harm. Among the findings found at this link were crowbars, metal and wooden objects, building materials, etc.

In his apology, he said that the specific objects had been used in construction works and remained there for possible future use of the beautification of the space.

The prosecutor of the headquarters spoke about funny characterizations in his speech, characterizing the above findings as dangerous.

He was also fined, while the same decision forbids the 36-year-old to watch football matches of his team for the next two years, during which he must be present at the police station of his place of residence.

A 43-year-old man who was arrested the same day as the head of another fan association (in western Thessaloniki) will appear before the same court next week. He faces the same acts and, in addition, is prosecuted for operating a fan club without a license.
