Two young foreigners were arrested, in Kefalonia, by police officers of the Argostoli Security Department and the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team (OPKE), accused of attempted robbery and violation of the law on weapons, while, in addition, it was found that they lacked documents for their legal stay in Greece territory.

According to the police investigation, the two perpetrators, 25 and 18 years old, evening hours of Wednesday 27/12, with the aim of removing objects, they broke a window in the old man’s house, in the area of ​​Sami Kefallinia, and one of them went inside, while the other remained outside watching over the place. At the same time her elderly tenant also entered the house, and seeing him the 25-year-old attacker attacked him with a knife, causing him serious physical injuries in the abdomen and shoulder blade. Then, together with his accomplice, they fled.

The injured was taken to a hospital where he remains hospitalized in a critical condition.

From the thorough investigation by the police, the details of the two perpetrators were identified, who after careful searches, were located and arrested, in the afternoon hours of Thursday (28.12.2023), in the area of ​​Kefalonia.
