Farmers continue their dynamic mobilizations throughout Greece. One of the most dynamic blocks is located on the Athens-Lamia highway, at the Skala Atalanti junction, with the farmers of Lokrida determined to continue their struggle claiming “the right to remain on their land while preserving the precious family income”.

At approximately 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the farmers of the Atalanti block again went up to the national road, closing both traffic streams until 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

This time they had on their side the Most Reverend Metropolitan Symeon of Fthiotida, who wished for the immediate and peaceful resolution of the problems facing the agricultural sector.

For the development of the mobilizations, however, much will depend on the Pan-Hellenic meeting that will take place in Nice, Larissa on Tuesday, February 6, however in Trikala, the coordinating committees of the Zarkos blocs of Farkadona municipality & Vasiliki blocs of Meteora municipality together with the Federation of Agricultural Associations of Trikala “The Spring” already carried out a motorized march through the city center and declare that they are determined to continue.

At the moment, all blocs seem to agree that the measures announced by the Prime Minister are not enough to cover even a small part of their lost income in a year that was also accompanied by extreme weather events and disasters.
