Everything shows that the third student who was offended by meningitis will manage to be discharged from the University Hospital of Patras. The course of his health is considered satisfactory by the treating doctors and they are now waiting for the moment when he will be moved from the ICU to a ward of the Pathology Clinic.

The hospital administrator Dimitris Bakos told “Peloponnisos”: “The news about his health is very good and everything shows that the third student will also do very well”, thanking all the health personnel who treated the three incidents. “The whole team, Mrs. Fligou, Mr. Maragos and all the other medical specialties, as well as our nursing staff, managed to save their lives. The first student has been discharged and the second student is being treated at the Clinic” added Mr. Bakos.

And these concern the pharmaceutical and vaccination shielding of close contacts of the sick student.

Also, the EODY team visited the two university sites (Rio and Koukouli) and gave clear instructions for information and prevention about meningitis.
