He was arrested as part of the spontaneous procedure, on Friday morning in his area Egaleoby police officers of the Anti-Trafficking Team of the Patrol Sub-Directorate of the Athens Police Department, a man for violating the National Customs Code.
According to the Police in the context of investigating information regarding a person who trades contraband tobacco products in a public market in the area of ​​Aegaleo, the police identified the accused and certified his illegal activity.
In particular, the police found the man in the public market, holding a black bag and called him for a check, during which they found in his possession 497 packs of cigarettes and 20 packs of tobacco without the indicative consumption tax strip.
A search followed at his house in Korydallos, which he used to store contraband products, where an additional 7,187 contraband packs of cigarettes and 151 packs of tobacco were found and confiscated.
The arrested, with the case filed against them by the Aigaleo Security Department, was taken to the competent Prosecutor.
