The coroner of Rhodes completed the autopsy on the body of the British doctor and BBC presenter Michael Mosley, who yesterday Sunday was found by the ERT journalistic crew dead on a fence on the beach of Agia Marina.

According to information, the autopsy shows that there are no injuries that refer to criminal action. Due to the fact that the body is in advanced decomposition, the cause of death is determined to be undetermined.

The traces of the 68-year-old had been lost since last Wednesday, with ground and aerial searches having been extended throughout the island, after the scanning of the wider area of Agios Nikolaos beach did not yield results. Michael Mosley was visiting the island of Symi, had gone for a swim and was walking back from a hard-to-reach beach.

Dr Michael Mosley was famous in the UK. Apart from the shows and documentaries he was the one who invented the 5:2 intermittent fasting quite popular in Britain. He was a regular contributor to ITV’s “flagship” morning show “This Morning” as well as other BBC shows.

Information indicates that other relatives of the doctor and BBC journalist are arriving in Symi from Britain.

The family of the unfortunate doctor is expected to lay a few flowers today at the spot where he was found.
