Her new Child Protection Unit in Attica, with a license to operate in accordance with the new institutional framework, was launched by Ark of the Worldin the presence of representatives of the state, local government, sponsors and hosted children.

According to a related announcement, Kivotos tou Kosmos is the first organization nationwide to be licensed in accordance with the specifications set by the institutional framework for Child Protection, as established in May 2022.

This Unit is the seventh House of Hospitality of the Ark of the World in the territory. Hosts 8 teenagers aged 13-18 in a fully equipped and modern space, designed according to all the required specifications.

The president of the Board of Directors of the Ark of the World, Alexandra Martinou, stated: “The lawful operation of the Ark of the World is our absolute priority. The opening of the new Child Protection Unit in Athens and the nationwide first in its licensing is an important achievement in the context of this effort.”

Domna Michailidou said: “Congratulations to the temporary administration of the World Ark, and especially to President Alexandra Martinou, because you succeeded and created the first Child Protection structure oriented to serve the best interests of children, both in terms of logistical specifications and in terms of human resources, with scientists, social workers and carers.”

The Ark of the World has licensed a total of 3 Child Protection Units in Athens, Volos, and Kalamata.
