Investigations by the authorities are ongoing into the execution of the 54-year-old surveyor-engineer on Tuesday morning in Psychiko. The man was found dead in the car at the junction of March 25 and Crete.

According to police sources, the assailant who was riding a black scooter, wearing a white helmet, black clothes and had his features covered, is said to have purposefully followed the man’s route, opened fire and killed him in his car. So they rule out the possibility that it wasn’t the target.

At the scene, according to the first information, the police officers collected at least 20 shell casings. In the audio with the moment of the murder secured by SKAI, at least 15 shots are heard and then the gap recorded by the policemen attributes either to the involvement of the perpetrator’s 9-gauge weapon, or to a magazine change.

According to the same sources, the investigations into the motive of the murder are oriented towards his professional activities which the victim allegedly had mainly in Mykonos, Paros and Ios.

Lifetime Prosecution officers speak of a “lone wolf” perpetrator with possible support. They are talking about a contract for the death of the 54-year-old with the possible motivation of the construction events on the island of Mykonos and the “construction mafia” as they call it.

The victim was a co-owner of a technical office based in Psychiko, but 80% of his activity was on the island of Mykonos. He is said to have also performed autopsies in Mykonos on behalf of municipal authorities or town planners.

There are reports of beatings the victim had received on the island of Mykonos and a complaint against unknown persons in 2021 for people who attacked or attempted to attack him in Chalandri.

The experienced officers of the homicide and forensic laboratories are racing to decode the video material they collected from the scene of the cold-blooded murder of the 54-year-old surveyor in Psychiko, according to a report by Makis Synodinos.

According to police sources from the area, they have collected more than 10 videos which they are analyzing in search of the fatal mistake that the killer may have made and will cost him his freedom.
