Running in the Caldera with a view of the Volcano
Santorini, July 4, 2024. The incomparable natural beauty of Santorini, the enchanting sunset, the volcano with its impressive caldera and the unique view of the Aegean and the Cycladic architecture of the island create an explosive setting to be able to experience a unique sports and tourism experience. The great Santorini Experience sports tourism event returns for its 7th year from 3rd to 6th October 2024 and once again brings professional and amateur athletes from all over the world to the island.
Those who love running will have the opportunity to enjoy the three amazing trail running routes on the Caldera, on the path that connects Oia to Fira, with the magnificent view of the volcano on their side. The 5km route powered by Miele is for those less familiar with running and for those who love dynamic walking. The 10 km powered by SIXT, a member of the MOTODYNAMIKI Group, is aimed at the most experienced in distances, and the 15 km powered by HOKA is aimed at those who love strength and endurance. All routes start at the desalination plant in Oia, with dirt track points and end back in Oia.

Rich Gifts to Participants
Each participant will receive their participant package which will include: Bag, Technical T-shirt, medal (those who finish), timing chip, swimming cap (in the swimming race), participation number (in the run), waterproof participation number (in swimming), personal belongings storage services, start/finish and en-route food in the run, food at the finish in the swim, medical coverage in the presence of a team of lifeguards in the run and lifeguards in the swim and generous gifts from sponsors.

Of course, the program also includes the established open water swimming. Specifically, the participants will swim starting from the Volcano and finishing at the old port of Fira, with the imposing view of the island in front of them, in the 1.5 mile (2.4 km) race.
Free Participation in the Citizens of Thira
The citizens of Thira can participate for free. The free registrations for the citizens of Thira will start from Monday, July 8th and will take place exclusively at the Alafouzos Sport store, which is the Official Sports Store of the event.
