A 49-year-old man was arrested as part of the spontaneous procedure, yesterday at noon, by police officers of the Anti-Racist Violence Department of the Attica Security Directorate, for bodily harm, insults and threats – crimes committed with racist characteristics.

In particular, according to the police, the 49-year-old, garage owner, on Tuesday afternoon attacked a 27-year-old man with punches and kicks of a foreigner, working in his company, due to a dispute in the context of their employment relationship. During the attack, the 49-year-old addressed abusive expressions and threats, affecting the ethnic origin of his employee.

During the foreigner’s attempt to move away from the scene of the attack, the attacker got into a vehicle inside the workshop and tried to hit himy, pursuing him with it and in the nearby area, where the 27-year-old ran, in his attempt to break free.

The arrested person, with the file filed against him, was taken to the Piraeus District Attorney.
