From the Security Directorates Western, Southeastern and Northeastern Attica, Athens and Piraeus, were planned and implemented morning hours of 5-9-2024, parallel operations in settlements of regions of Attica and specifically in Acharnes, Ano Liosia, Koropi, Hawk, Spata, Column and Nightingale.

Police officers from the above Services participated in the operation with the assistance of local police officers Security Departmentsher O.P.K.E., of E.K.A.M., Judicial Officersas well as its crews D.E.D.D.N.E.

The purpose of the large-scale operation was to prevent and deal with any form of illegal activity that has been recorded in the settlements in question.

A total of 57 people, 36 vehicles were checked and 24 house searches and 25 arrests were made.

In the context of the above, -29- people were arrested and charges were filed against them – as the case may be – for theft, theft of electricity, violation of the legislation on weapons, on addictive substances and on foreigners, disturbing the public peace, neglecting to supervise a minor and failure to extradite identity card, as well as for pending convictions.

Seized was a pistol that was reported as stolen and taken from a police officer’s house in a burglary in July 2023, as well as a number of audio devices such as speakers, mixers and amplifiers, license plates, a live gun cartridge and a small amount of cannabis.

The arrested were taken to the competent Prosecutor’s Office.
