On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division arrested a 25-year-old citizen in the Athens area, who is accused of vindictive pornography and attempted extortion.

A complaint was filed by a man against an unknown perpetrator, a profile manager on a social networking website, according to which she threatened him through the application, that she would share audio-visual material with erotic content, which she had acquired during their communication, if he did not pay her a sum of 2,000 euros.

In order to clarify the case, a thorough and thorough police and online investigation of the digital elements and data was carried out, resulting in the identification of the 25-year-old as the administrator of the online profile in question.

The 25-year-old was located and arrested at her home, in an area of ​​Athens, while the on-site investigation of seized evidence – a laptop and a mobile phone – confirmed her involvement in the case, as the disputed audio-visual material was found.

The seized digital evidence will be sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to carry out the necessary laboratory tests.

The arrested woman was taken to the competent Prosecutor.
