For all developments regarding the upgraded systems, performance and technical specifications of the transport aircraft C-130J Larry Gallogly, Director of Customer Requirements, AirMobility & Maritime Missions (C-130J), who was in Greece on the occasion of the Athens Flying Week, organized on the two days of September 14-15, speaks exclusively to the Athens News Agency-Macedonian News Agency at Tanagra Air Base.

According to Lockheed Martin, the C-130J Super Hercules is a complete update of the C-130 Hercules, with new engines, flight deck and other systems, and the only model currently in production.

For Greece, Mr. Gallogly underlined that at this stage he often visits our country and listens to the needs of transport aircraft operators and aircraft support and maintenance teams. “They inform me of the gaps in capabilities – not only for the older aircraft where we know any technical issues that are often seen – but also for the performance and in particular the areas where it could be improved (with the new version),” stressed the Director of Customer Requirements, AirMobility & Maritime Missions (C-130J) by Lockheed Martin.

“The goal of the working meetings is to find the best ways to configure the operating system to meet their needs,” he said.

He made it clear that this particular type of aircraft has one key comparative advantageas “you can buy two and start operating them immediately».
