Video document from the cinematic robbery that took place earlier today at a cash office in Lavrio.

In the video obtained by SKAI, the robbers’ vehicle can be seen, a green car. It is one of two videos that the police have in their possession, and are examining in the search for the perpetrators.

How did the mammoth heist happen?

A well-planned hit was carried out by four armed assailants right next to the entrance of a toy chain store just after 2pm.

The money transfer vehicle had taken a lot of money from various cooperating businesses in the wider area of ​​Lavrio. This particular store was the last one. It appears that the perpetrators were aware of this information. One cashier was inside the store and had brought some bags of money, while the second, as he should have been, was inside the car.

At first the robbers, who showed up in a green car, threw paint on the vehicle, specifically a smoky color and then threw paint on the windshield. They wore hoods, medical masks and common clothing, light in color.

There is one more interesting element in the case. They left a box, which they claimed was an explosive device, threatening the employee that with the explosion they would be able to break the window of the vehicle.

All four tires of the vehicle were punctured with knives. With the simple Kalashnikov they forced the employee out of the van. The employee could not stay inside the vehicle because it was not armored. One of the perpetrators grabbed at least 15 bags with 1.5 million euros.

Initial reports from officials indicate that they had not had time to put the money in the coloring bags, which when the money is removed with an explosion destroy it. Thus, the task of the perpetrators was particularly easy.

The company, according to police sources, operated under another name in the past and had received several robberies during remittances.

So far no terrorist motive has been shown.
