Speaking to on the subject of her savage beating 14 years old at Glyfada from her classmates, the representative of the Hellenic Police, Constantia Dimoglidou he emphasized that the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is not a police phenomenon, but a social phenomenon, which must be tackled with the participation of many. “The possession of small amounts of drugs, theft, physical harm or even the possession of some weapons and sharp objects show that children are delinquent. We have said before that the family has a leading role in this, even if some deny it.”

At the same time, Mrs. Dimoglidou noted that there are mechanisms in the Electronic Crime Prosecution that monitor whether crimes or calls to violence are carried out through social media, with many such incidents having been prevented, mainly in Southeast Attica.

“Every time there is an incident with minors, the Prosecutor is informed and for the arrest of the parents it is ordered that they either be detained or brought before him or released, to simply be included in the case file. In the case of Glyfada, the children were not taken to the Prosecutor, but two people were arrested within the limits of the autoforo, while the rest are now called during the preliminary investigation to give explanations”.
