The perpetrators seem to have lured the victim to the scene, when a 15-year-old woman, known to the 14-year-old, agreed through social media to meet in a local park
A victim of a beating complained that a 17-year-old boy was beaten by a group of minors in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, who was forced to admit that he raped a 14-year-old girl and recorded their actions on a mobile phone. The incident, according to the patient’s complaint, happened on Sunday night in the area of the former “Panagia” Hospital.
The perpetrators seem to have lured the victim to the scene, when a 15-year-old girl, known to the 14-year-old girl, agreed through social media to meet in a park in the area. As the 17-year-old was walking with the 15-year-old, a group of five young people approached them. Using violence and threats, the perpetrators forced him to admit that he raped the 14-year-old by recording the “confession” of the alleged rape with a mobile phone.
The perpetrators fled when a police patrol car passed by. After the victim reported the incident, searches began that led to the arrest of four people, among them two 17-year-olds, a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old. The minors were released, in contrast to the 18-year-old who was referred to be tried at the Autoforo Single-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki.
Two more people, whose identities are unknown, are involved in the case. The defendant who was taken to the autoforo is being prosecuted for dangerous bodily harm against vulnerable persons, complicity, and unlawful violence. For the minors, the case file was separated and the prosecution concerns the same offenses and additionally for the violation of personal data (as the case may be).
