The controls throughout the country by the Greek Police Services for the implementation of measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus are sweeping.
“We are not closing again, we are implementing the sanitary measures,” government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou told SKAI.
It is indicative that on Friday 72,379 inspections were carried out throughout the country, of which only 25,188 at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.
It is noted that since the implementation of the new measures (November 7, 2020), a total of 74,297 violations have been confirmed and 71,042 administrative fines of 300 euros and 3,255 of 150 euros have been imposed. Also, since the entry into force of the measure (November 7, 2020), a total of 196,188 similar violations have been confirmed.
A total of 390 infringements were confirmed and two arrests were made:
162 violations for not using a mask, etc. related infringements and 160 fines of EUR 300 and 2 of EUR 150 were imposed:

28 in Thessaly,
23 in Western Greece,
19 in Epirus,
15 in the Peloponnese,
13 in the North Aegean,
11 in Central Macedonia,
7 in Central Greece,
6 in Western Macedonia,
4 in Crete,
1 in the Ionian Islands.
– 19 violations for restriction of movement with the imposition of a fine of 300 euros, of which, 11 in the North Aegean, 5 in Epirus, 2 in Central Macedonia and 1 in the Peloponnese.
– 202 violations and 2 arrests for rules of operation of shops, private companies, etc. violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, non-use of mask, percentage of square meter per person, etc.).
In the above cases, the following sanctions were imposed for violation of suspension of operation, etc. related infringements of the relevant provisions, namely:
In Attica,
– arrest of a temporary manager and a fine of 10,000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 30-day suspension of operation, for people to enter the store, without the necessary certificates and violations to 2 customers,
– 5,000 euros fine in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for a person to enter the store, without the necessary certificates and violation to the customer,
– 6 violations in stores, for not posting the maximum number of people allowed,
– 3 infringements of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by shop employees,
– 2 violations for lack of vaccination certificate in KTEL.
In Thessaly,
– arrest of owner and a fine of 5,000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for customer service without the necessary certificates and 3 violations to customers,
– a fine of 5,000 euros in a store of health interest with the imposition of suspension, for non-observance of hygiene rules,
– 21 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by owners, employees and customers of stores,
– an offense in a store, for not posting the maximum number of people allowed.
In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
– 10,000 euros fine in a store of a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 30-day suspension of operation, for customer service, without the necessary certificates and violations to customers,
– from a fine of 5,000 euros in 2 stores of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, customer service without the necessary certificates and violations to customers,
– 18 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by owners, employees and customers of stores.
In Crete,
– 5,000 euros fine in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for a person to stay inside the store, without the necessary certificates and violation to the customer,
– 10 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by customers and store employees,
– an offense in a store, for not posting the maximum number of people allowed.
In Thessaloniki,
– 18 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and customers of stores,
– 300 euros to a customer for refusing to show an identity document to a store manager,
– 6 violations in stores, for non-indication of operating rules,
– 2 violations in stores, for not posting the maximum number of people allowed.
In Central Macedonia,
– a fine of 5,000 euros per person, for violating the health protocols upon entering the country,
– 16 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by owner, employees and customers of stores,
– an offense in a store, for not posting the maximum number of people allowed.
In Western Macedonia,
– a fine of 5,000 euros per person, for violating the health protocols upon entering the country,
– 4 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and a customer of stores.
In the North Aegean,
– 2 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by store employees,
– 2 violations in stores, for non-indication of operating rules.
In Central Greece, 20 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by shop owners, employees and customers.
In the Ionian Islands, 15 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by shop customers and one by a vehicle passenger.
In Epirus, 10 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by shop customers.
In the Peloponnese, 8 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a customer and store employees.
In Western Greece, 7 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and customers of stores.
In the South Aegean, 2 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by store employees.
Since the entry into force of the new measures (November 7, 2020), a total of 22,114 similar violations have been confirmed and 2,661 people have been arrested.
Finally, a violation was confirmed for non-completion of the electronic form PLF (Passenger Locator Form) by a traveler. Since the entry into force of the new measures (November 7, 2020), a total of 441 similar violations have been confirmed.
