33 of the 48 detainees for the circuit case allegedly involved in drug trafficking, blackmail and bomb attacks were driven on Tuesday afternoon at the Chania Court of Justice and requested and received a 48 -hour deadline to apologize.

The apology before the investigator will continue on Thursday morning (4/9) for the 17 detainees, while the remaining 16 will apologize on Friday.

ELAS, after a large operation held yesterday, Sunday, August 31, in various areas of Crete, in the presence of judicial officers, has managed to dismantle a criminal organization with “rich” action as its members are involved in drug trafficking, arms trade, blackmail and blackmail.

A total of 48 people were arrested, 12 of whom are already imprisoned in prisons as they serve penalties for drug and weapons cases. However, the rest of the detainees have, in their overwhelming majority, have been concerned with the authorities in the past for similar offenses. Meanwhile, according to police sources, other people in the case are being examined, a development that is expected to lead to new arrests.

Among the detainees are businessmen, a police officer, two soldiers as well as a clergyman. In particular, the police officer allegedly provided information to members of the organization on the action of ELAS, while the two Armed Forces officers appear to be involved in drug trafficking. The clergyman allegedly involved in blackmail while under the microscope of the authorities there have also been the sale of the Church of the Church to individuals.

A leading role in the organization is said to have two brothers, old acquaintances of the authorities, who owns a large tourist unit in the area, and they possess two beach bars as well as other stores.

At the same time during the operation, quantities of cocaine, hemp, pistols, war rifles and vehicles were identified and confiscated.
