Nissan Leaf – the first electric model of widespread production when presented in 2010 – returns, confirming Nissan’s commitment to electricity. In its third generation, it premieres on the streets of Copenhagen, with top -notch autonomy up to 622 km, dynamic new design, advanced technology and a wealth of new driver assist systems.
“The new Leaf embodies Nissan’s DNA: smart, elegant, stylish and ready to respond to the new generation of EV drivers. With up to 622 km autonomy and advanced connectivity technologies, it offers the ease and driving pleasure our customers are looking for, “said Clíodhna Lyons, Region Vice President, Product and Services Planning, Nissan Amieo. “As we continue to boost our range of electric cars, the new Leaf expresses exactly what our customers are looking for.”
Aerodynamic design
Designed at Nissan’s Global Design Studio in Japan, Japan, produced at the Nissan plant in Sunderland, the new Leaf presents a dynamic crossover aesthetic that combines aerodynamic performance and impressive visual presence. At just 0.25 drag coefficients, the elegant look of the car not only impresses on the road, but also contributes to the top 622km autonomy and the overall excellent performance of the model.
Complementing its elegant and aerodynamic appearance, Nissan Leaf has a number of upgraded exterior elements, carefully designed to draw attention and prove that Nissan’s fully electric vehicles combine style and technology:
• flat door handles
• Sculptured surfaces and flowing roof line
• Three -dimensional holographic rear lights
• Optional 19 -inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic design
• panoramic shadow sunroof with discreet detail of Leaf
Inside, the cabin is spacious and designed to provide comfort on every family route, with a luggage capacity of 437 liters. The electrically opened rear door and the roof rails offer additional flexibility, while the seven exterior colors options, including the characteristic turquoise Luminous Teal, allow it to be personalized to respond to every desire – from daily travel to the city to family excursions.
To complement the bold design and the spacious interior, the Nissan Leaf offers an extensive range of accessories that respond to every modern lifestyle. From practical solutions such as bumper protective film, two -sided luggage compartment cover and luxurious recycled mats to elegant details such as enlightened input protectors and mirrors, drivers can personalize it according to their taste.
For even more comfort, features such as the Drive Video Recorder and the charging cable storage bag enhance safety and daily usability, while transportation options such as removable towing hook and transverse roof bars make family outings unique and even easier.
Autonomy up to 622 km and smart charge
The new Leaf offers top autonomy in its class, with two batteries – 52 kWh and 75 kWh – that ensure autonomy above 440 km* and up to 622 km (WLTP) respectively (* type approval). With autonomy reaching 330 km at a speed of 130 km/h and 430 km at a speed of 110 km/h on the highway, combined with low consumption of just 13.8 kWh/100 km, long trips become more comfortable and with less loading stops. When charged, the new Nissan Leaf supports a speedy DC charge up to 150 kW, recovering energy for 420 km in just 30 minutes.
At the same time, the Nissan Leaf is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) mode, providing power of up to 3.6 kW to connect external micro-appliances-from laptops to cooking equipment for nature excursions. In addition, it is compatible with the Vehicle-To-Grid system (V2G), so that in the future it can send stored energy back to the electricity grid.
Electrical Performance and Advanced Assist Systems
Made on the CMF-EV platform, shared with Nissan Arya, the Leaf offers a driving experience that combines dynamism and comfort. MacPherson mounts front and multi -links rear – ensure smooth and flexible driving, both on the streets of the city and on the highway.
The features focused on the driver include:
• E-Pedal Step for smooth driving with a pedal
• Propilot Assist with Navi-Link adapting to the turbines and changing speed limits for effortless driving on the highway
• 3D Around View Monitor 8 -point viewing ” Invisible Hood View) and Front Wide View for safe and easy navigation on narrow streets of the city
• Regenerative braking with paddle shifts and distance control assist for energy recovery during deceleration
In the heart of Nissan Leaf is an electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 218 PS and a maximum torque of 355nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
Nissan Leaf offers a comprehensive range of advanced driver safety and assist systems designed for confidence and safety on each route. From Intelligent Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Intervention to Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Keep Assist, Nissan Leaf offers high levels of safety and tranquility to the driver. In addition, technologies such as 3D Around View Monitor, Invisible Hood View and Front Wide View make parking and maneuvering in closer spaces easier and safer than ever.
Designed for a linked driving experience
At the heart of Leaf’s linked experience is NissanConnect with Google’s suite, which offers a seamless connection to the outside world.
The system includes:
• Google Maps with In-car Route Planner for easy navigation and automatic charging attitudes design
• Google Assistant for easy voice handling, entertainment, air conditioning and other functions
• Google Play Store to access applications, streaming services and productivity tools
Inside, two 14.3 ”screens (instrument panel and central) form a fully digital cockpit, while the NissanConnect Services application offers remote access to battery control, air conditioning preparation and route planning – ensuring that the driver remains just as connected inside and out.
