For religious people who prefer to avoid red meat during the Easter season or for those who are just looking for a slightly lighter dish, São Paulo has seen a wave of new restaurants and bars specializing in seafood in recent months.
In common, the order in all is to abandon the sameness of cod. This is the case of Churrascada do Mar, a recently opened restaurant that uses traditional barbecue techniques to prepare all kinds of fish. Still betting on the grill, Kônxa mixes a more beachy style to make seafood barbecue, with a menu full of summer drinks.
But there are others. Naia, which is inspired by a fishing village in Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, uses fresh seafood. Mezza Luna is an Italian restaurant that replaces red meat with seafood. Closing the list, Pêxi imports the style of the beaches of Bahia and offers oysters and fish.

naia
Conceived by the gaucho chef Tuca Mezzomo, who already played the Charco, the restaurant is an inspiration from the times when he lived in Balneário do Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, and with the fishing village that existed near his home. At Naia, the menu is short and changes constantly depending on the time of year. The most requested are the rice dish with seafood, roasted tomatoes and parsley (R$84) and the grilled squid that comes with rustic potatoes (R$43).

pexi
The bar follows a line with snacks and small portions — a good choice for those who want to have a beer and taste appetizers. The Patola de Crab, which comes with four units, costs R$26. The grilled squid tentacle served with chimichurri sauce costs R$18. It is worth remembering that the tables are on the sidewalk, which means that the address is usually not open on days of heavy rain.
