Legislation on industrial doctorates, visiting professors-visiting researchers, the calculation of teachers’ previous service, long-term leave of Special Teaching Staff (SPD) and Special Auxiliary Staff (SPC) among others, promoted by the Ministry of Education, according to an announcement, they are expected to be submitted to Parliament for a vote.
The proposed regulation for industrial doctorates seeks to “link education and research more effectively with the needs of productive transformation”, the ministry said, adding: “This will be achieved through the commercial exploitation of research results from the development of a doctoral dissertation and the production of innovative products or services “.
The article concerning visiting professors – visiting researchers, launches “the upgrading of the institution of visiting professors and the introduction of the institution of visiting researchers, through which the possibility of employment of young highly qualified teaching and research staff in universities”, officially the ΥΠΑΙΘ.
The proposed provision on the licenses of SEP-EBP members “addresses the issue of timely scheduling of license applications in cases where teachers and SEP-EBP members know in advance the reason for the requested license, as is the case for “parental leave, special family and maternity protection, family facilities and on-the-job training,” the ministry said. In particular, it is stipulated that the applications for the granting of the above licenses are submitted no later than May 31st and the decision to grant them is issued no later than June 30th.
Regarding the calculation of previous service of teachers, it concerns the recruitments of the branch PE87.02 – nursing who are employed in positions of branch PE25 – nurses, whose previous service will be counted in the branch PE25 – nurses during the compilation of the tables of the above members EEP-EB .
Also, the previous service of the hired teachers of TE01.30 – assistant nurses – pediatricians who are employed in positions DE01-EBP will be counted in the branch DE01-EBP during the compilation of the lists of the above members EEP-EBP.
