A pleasant surprise awaited on the morning of Holy Thursday the children hosted at SOS Children’s Villages, in Vari.
In particular, the Secretary General of Social Solidarity and the Fight against Poverty, George Stamatis, arrived at their hospitable “home” and offered them the Easter candles that the children will hold in their hands in the Sequence of Resurrection.
The candles were handcrafted by the children of “Floga”, another organization that performs exceptional humanitarian work with the services it offers to children in need.
As it became known in a post on social media, this was done with the care of the prime minister’s office: “A big thank you to the secretary general. of the Office of the Prime Minister, Grigoris Dimitriadis and the secretary general Social Solidarity, George Stamatis who once again were close to our children. And this Easter they offered Easter candles from “Floga” to all the children of the SOS Children’s Village of Vari to turn on the light of Resurrection, Hope and Peace.
“Among them were the children of the first single-parent families that we host from Ukraine”, it is noted on the page of SOS Children’s Villages on social media.
