The journey began in 2020 and in two years bwin “embraced” hundreds of children. The sequel remains just as attractive and in 2022 there are several surprises in store. Throughout this process, the message was common: all children and young people should have access to sports facilities and participate equally in the sporting ideal.
Bwin’s goal was to “return” to societies these stadiums, modern, safe, functional and the result was ideal!
As in other cities, so in Kiato, thanks to perseverance and passion and in collaboration with the Association “Together for the Child” the stone was laid for a better daily life for young students.
More specifically, the basketball-volleyball court at the 1st Primary School of Kiato was completely reconstructed. A special safety carpet was used on the field, which is used in professional facilities, delineations were created for both sports and the necessary equipment was installed (replacement of basketball court boards, installation of protective mattresses for basketballs, but also painting of basketballs, as well as installation of two basketball) of the above courts to make them useful.
The surprise for the children who returned from their Easter vacation was huge. The stadium impressed the students and their smiles “flooded” the new facilities. The laughter of the children was the greatest reward for the people of bwin and the “Together for the Child”, whose collaboration counts dozens of projects.
On behalf of bwin, Ioanna Beriou, Corporate Communications Director, said: “We have completed a fully renovated stadium, full of pride for the children of Kiato. Not only the students of the Primary School but also of the whole area of Kiato will now be able to enjoy facilities of professional standards. “We want stadiums full of life, giving young people the opportunity to play safely and dream.”
The president of the Union “Together for the Child”, Alexandra Martinou, said: “Faithful to our vision to offer equal opportunities to all children, we deliver a completely reconstructed basketball-volleyball court to the 1st Primary School of Kiato. Thanks to the valuable support of bwin, the sports area is safe and fully functional for the 180 children attending the school. Sport and play are their basic needs and we emphasize that. Bwin is our valuable companion in this purpose as we have jointly reconstructed more than 1,800 sq.m. γηπέδων ».
The Principal of the 1st Primary School of Kiato, Andreas Karvountzis, stated: “On behalf of all colleagues, we warmly thank you for the work you did and for the result that changed the image of our school.
