The amendment of the Minister of Rural Development and Food, George Georgantas, was voted with an increased majority by the Parliamentwhich gives the possibility to ELGA to pay an advance of up to 60% for the damage caused to crops by the “Frost January 2022” (from January 24, 2022 to January 31, 2022), in all the Regions of the country.
According to the same regulation, the total annual limit of compensations received by employees at all stages of the insurance and appraisal process, who are assigned a project related to the damages caused by the “January 2022 Frost”, is set up to the amount of 4,800 euros, without a monthly limit.
The amendment received a positive vote from ND, SYRIZA, KINAL and “Hellenic Solution”. The KKE and “Mera25” declared “present”.
