In his statement, Mr. Oikonomou states: “Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Mr. Tsipras has spread lies and mischief – from the podium of the National Parliament – the time when the Prime Minister represents Greece in key Summits abroad.
The government spokesman, Giannis Oikonomou, launched a fierce attack on the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, after his speech in Parliament, during which he exercised harsh criticism of the government and the prime minister for his stance at the NATO summit.
In his statement, Mr. Oikonomou states: “Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Mr. Tsipras has spread lies and mischief – from the podium of the National Parliament – the time when the Prime Minister represents Greece in key Summits abroad.
Greek men and women demand, in the critical times we live in, seriousness and a tight internal front, in order to promote our national interests, and they categorically reject the political smallness of Mr. Tsipras.
His current delusion (in which only a small part of his deputies were present) is in full dimension with the will and the judgment of the Greek citizens, our partners and allies who see that the international representation of our country by the Prime Minister and the diplomacy exercised by our country ensures our national rights in full and promotes them in many ways.
That is why the citizens trust the Prime Minister in all critical issues.
Toxicity, lies and smallness will not entice us. Nor, of course, will they make us forget what the country lived like on such days seven years ago. We do not forget them not only for the tragic consequences they had for our people, but mainly because the protagonists of 2015 remain unrepentant, the same and unchanged.
