The amendment for the extraordinary financial support of the vulnerable pensioners during the year 2021 and the increase of the welfare benefits in cash to the disabled and to the uninsured elderly for the month of December 2021 was submitted to the Parliament.
This amendment proposes the following:
1. Extraordinary financial aid is paid to specially defined categories of pensioners and beneficiaries of disability benefits, amounting to two hundred and fifty (250) euros per beneficiary, until 31.12.2021.
An increase of fifty (50) euros is provided for each dependent member of the taxpayer, according to the special provisions. The method of payment of the aid to the beneficiaries is determined and a special tax regime is provided that governs the granting of the extraordinary financial aid.
The amount of emergency financial assistance is covered by the state budget.
2. The cash welfare benefits for people with disabilities, the uninsured elderly, as well as the foster parents of persons enrolled in general or special disability welfare programs, according to the more specifically defined, are increased by two hundred and fifty (250) euros, for the month of December 2021 . These surcharges are paid once. The issue of granting the surcharges is specially regulated in combination with the above-mentioned extraordinary financial support amounting to two hundred and fifty (250) euros, in order to avoid double payments.
