Dendia points for Turkey: To avoid the revival of revisionism in the Western Balkans

The Foreign Minister made special reference to the challenges facing Greece, and in this context he referred extensively to the recent Turkish provocative actions

The European perspective of the Western Balkans is a one-way streetin order to consolidate stability and avoid the revival of revisionism in the region, the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized on Friday Nikos Dendias leaving spikes for Turkish provocations.

Invited by his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlić-Radman, Mr. Dendias earlier addressed the annual meeting of Croatian Ambassadors, which takes place in Zagreb.

According to diplomatic sources, the Minister of Foreign Affairs made special reference to the challenges facing Greece, and in this context he referred extensively to the recent Turkish provocative actions, as well as to Greece’s adherence to International Law and especially to the Law of the Sea.

Also, Mr. Dendias underlined the excellent level of relations between Greece and Croatia, which this year celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations, underlining that these relations are a model for the wider region of the Balkans.

He then proceeded to a review of the main priorities of Greek foreign policy, which revolves around 6 main axes: 1) Europe, 2) Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf, 3) Western Balkans, 4) USA, 5) Africa, Asia, Latin America and 6) Multilateralism.

The said visit to Zagreb, the fifth visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Croatia since taking office, indicates the importance attached to the strengthening of bilateral ties with other European countries that embrace the same values ​​as Greece, diplomatic sources noted.

During his stay in the Croatian capital, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will be received by the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović.
