Iliopoulos: Mr. Mitsotakis will sell everyone involved in surveillance to save himself

The government representative of SYRIZA-PS launched an attack against Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Nasos Iliopoulos on the occasion of yesterday’s statements by the government representative, Yannis Oikonomou, that the Greek government has not procured any malicious software, but also after today’s publication from Vima that Mr. Dimitriadis was the bridge for specific persons in Greece and Cyprus, in order for the monitoring software Predator to come to Athens.

Specifically, Nasos Iliopoulos states:

Yesterday, Mr. Mitsotakis assured through the government representative that the Greek government has not procured any malicious software. What he didn’t tell us, however, is whether Maximus’ “family” has made use of such malware for their own benefit.

Today the To Vima newspaper reveals that Mr. Dimitriadis, the nephew of Mr. Mitsotakis, who tied and bound in the prime minister’s office for three years, was a man who was the bridge for specific persons in Greece and Cyprus, in order for the Predator surveillance software to come in Athens and to be placed in the services of Mr. Mitsotakis.

The journalistic information, which since yesterday the government evasively does not deny directly, speaks of an extensive parastatal monitoring system of political opponents, businessmen, and even executives of the New Democracy.

The “councilier” Mr. Dimitriadis now emerges as the key person of a well-organized illegal system of political and financial extortion, which gathered sensitive information about persons, which no one knows in whose hands they are today.

Mr. Mitsotakis has earned the title of the country’s most dangerous prime minister in recent years. But his days of arrogance are numbered. But by the time it collapsed he would have sold everyone involved, one by one, in Greece and Cyprus, in a futile attempt to save himself. But he has deceived so many people with all these parastatal practices that he will not succeed.
