The strategy of the opposition parties and the mobilization for the strike

The opposition is rallying. They see a common field for criticism that exists not only in the field of accuracy, but also in the case of monitoring. The front can be strengthened starting from today’s mobilization, where everyone will be in their positions. SYRIZA in front of the Ministry of Labour, at the corner of Dragatsaniou and Stadiou, the PASOK at approximately the same point in Klathmonos, the KKE in the Propylaia of the University and the MeRA25 Pesmazoglou and Stadiou.

Each party has its own target. The official opposition hopes to cumulatively take advantage of the damage that the government will suffer from the surveillance case, the removal of Andreas Patsis and the precision in the market. The hourglass empties and by the end of the year Alexis Tsipras wishes to change the climate and SYRIZA to have gained momentum and the prospect of victory in view of the next elections. They believe that there is room for penetration in the center and the extra-parliamentary left, and the movements are expected to be cautious in the next period. In the official opposition they believe that the three years of opposition are beginning to bear fruit. The latest MRB poll caused smiles that in its qualitative data the president of SYRIZA is superior to Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the issues of dealing with accuracy – filthy lucre, but also in supporting the income of the small and middle class.

In PASOK, they have focused on the economy, as they know that the polarization between the two “big men” does not favor them. Of course, the case of surveillance will remain high on the agenda, as it concerns the president himself. He has already announced the appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. With the New Democracy, any possibility of post-election cooperation has been canceled and perhaps this has given second thoughts to the “returned” voters who left the blue party after the change of leadership. However, in Harilaou Trikoupi they continue to “fish” in the “waters” of SYRIZA, seeing that with the programmatic reason and the responsible opposition, their percentages can exceed the zone of 11%-12% in which they have been stable in recent polls.

The KKE is expected to continue its “lonely” course having excluded from the first moment and without asterisks the possibility of participating in any cooperation government. The percentages remain stable at 6%, hoping that with the mass mobilizations they will be able to win over citizens who have gone through the phase of protest or even abstaining from the public.

On the razor’s edge lately is the Day25. The departure of three female parliamentarians has caused tremors in the party, and the latest Pulse poll showed that it does not reach the 3% threshold that gives the ticket to the Parliament. Its executives declare that the party continues its autonomous course vigorously and already the contacts of Yanis Varoufakis have intensified. It should be noted, however, that the prevailing assessment, after the answer given by Alexis Tsipras to the SKAI news report in relation to the alliances, is that his political choice is to work with Nikos Androulakis and not with Yanis Varoufakis. According to many in SYRIZA, MERA25 will not succeed in its re-election.

The Hellenic Solution does not seem to be in danger of being out of Parliament in the next electoral contest of the simple proportionality, as it moves steadily in the measurements around 4%. The mobility observed, however, on the extreme right may affect the party of Kyriakos Velopoulos in the next period as well.
