Three ministerial amendments and a total of 26 parliamentary amendments have also been tabled in the draft law by the start of the session.

The Ministry of Labor has filed an amendment with provisions concerning the “Granting of visual disability financial assistance to pensioners who practice a profession or provide salaried work”, the “Pilot program for persons on the autism spectrum”, the “Expenditures of programs of the Hellenic Society for Local Development and of Self-Government S.A.”, for the “Staff secondments of the abolished National Institute of Labor and Human Resources to the National Center for Social Solidarity”, the “Restrictions on transfers, secondments and movements by agencies of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs”, as well as the “National Coordinator for the Prevention and Combating the Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Minors” – for the implementation of the recent decisions of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, regarding the tasks assigned to the National Coordinator, who will lead the relevant National Action Plan.

The second ministerial amendment that has been submitted contains provisions concerning the “Lease of SEF facilities for housing a Disability Certification Center (KEPA), the “extension of the deadline for submitting a third country citizen’s application for temporary employment in the agricultural economy” until June 30, 2023, the retroactive “Extension of the special management of LARCO GMME SA for the completion of the tender process” from October 7, 2022.

The third ministerial amendment was submitted by the Ministry of Education and has provisions concerning the “Qualification list of candidates for teachers from the old branch of University Education”, the “Extension of individual fixed-term employment contracts for the cleaning of the EKPA” until March 31, 2023, “Arrangements for the admission to higher education” with the addition of a paragraph to article 13D of Law 4186/2013 where it is possible in cases of establishment or merger of schools, departments or admission directions to set by decision of the Ministry of Education special deadlines for determining the weighting factor, the classification of the school in the university fields and the number of students admitted to the school as well as “Arrangements for the education staff”.

Parliamentary Amendments

Four parliamentary amendments have been submitted to the bill by SYRIZA, 17 by PASOK-KINAL, four by KKE and one by MeRA 25 until the start of the session.

The KKE tabled amendments on: “Reduction of contributions for the recognition of fictitious years – Exemption from the payment of contribution for the recognition of military service”. Arrangements “for personal insurance debts to the insurance funds of the self-employed and those insured in the OGA”. “Adjustment for the lump sum of self-employed engineers” so that it is not less than the amount they would have received on 1/9/2013. “Cease auctions, acts of forced execution at the expense of the first – main – residence and other assets of the lower classes” who have an annual family income of up to 40,000 euros increased by 5,000 euros for each child.

The MeRA parliamentary group 25 with its secretary Yanis Varoufakis as the first signatory, has tabled an amendment for “Main residence protection with immediate suspension of evictions, auctions and the sale of red loans”.
