Christmas carols from the children’s choirRed Hot Air Balloon” and a delegation of the Panhellenic Music Association heard, this morning, in Perissos, the General Secretary of the K.E. of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas and a delegation of K.E. of the party.
In addition to the well-known carol “good morning lords”, the children and musicians presented Christmas and New Year’s carols from the Peloponnese, Ikaria and other regions of Greece.
“And next year, many wishes, Happy Birthday, happy holidays with a promise, to continue the fight for a better life, so that the smile on the lips of our children blooms, the smile blooms on your lips as you smile today morning, Christmas Eve. For a better life, for the big, the beautiful, the shocking. That which will satisfy all the needs of the people, the youth, our country and of course it will also correspond to the modern era, the modern needs of our time” said D. Koutsoumbas.
“To thank you again for your participation and since it is also Panhellenic Music Association today together with the children, I would like to point out that this despicable Presidential Decree that degrades art schools, degrades conservatories, drama schools, cinema schools, dance schools must be withdrawn immediately, here and now,” he stressed.
“And of course this is not a wish, this is a promise again to continue this struggle, together with all the people, because the problems are huge and 2023 is coming very precisely, with energy poverty, with auctions, with state violence and repression, with a limitation of the people’s income and a series of other measures, which are a continuation of all previous governments and the current government continues them by faithfully following the directions, the instructions of big capital, the EU and other imperialist mechanisms” he added.
“Happy Birthday, good strength and health to everyone” concluded the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE in his statement.
At the end of the event, D. Koutsoumbas distributed books of the “Modern Era” to all the children of the choir and the musicians as a commemorative gift.
