Mayor in Rodopi fires workers as “Gulenists” – Intervention by Makis Voridis

by

If Inder Mumin’s actions are found to be illegal, he will be removed from his duties

The intervention of the Minister of the Interior, Makis Voridis, has been caused by the actions of the Muslim mayor Yasmos Rodopi, Oder Mumin, with the most likely scenario being the definitive suspension from his duties.

The mayor has fired workers and recalled the deputy mayors on the grounds that they are “Gulenists”.

He calls for the resignation of the officials and elected officials of the municipality, who are involved or related “to the Global Terrorist Organization FETÖ and the Criminal Organization EUR-AKI”.

Mr. Voridis contacted the special secretary of the Decentralized Administration of Macedonia – Thrace Ioannis Savvas and asked him to examine any illegal actions of the mayor in question, in order to evaluate them as a whole and to decide on the necessary further actions to deal with the specific issue. If the mayor’s actions prove to be illegal, then the minister’s decision is expected to be the final suspension of his duties.
