“It is entirely reasonable that anyone who played a role in anything related to the accident should be available to the proceedings to give their views. The problem with SYRIZA is that it wants the former to testify, the next to say their opinions, nothing related to the period of its own government. It’s as if the railway was running like clockwork during the SYRIZA government and everything was destroyed during the days of the New Democracy government,” said the government representative in an interview with the Alpha television station Giannis Oikonomou.

He also noted that during these four years, as well as in the past, the world knows who clashed with these logics, what those conflicts were, who changed things, what were the things that changed and who are constantly standing against these changes. “We have not hidden that we want more quality, meritocracy, transparency, evaluation in the entire public sector. The world knows and will judge us, both for the efforts we have made in this direction, for the extent we have progressed and for what we have not managed to change. This is the reality – we did not hide behind it – and our conflict with these islets will be ongoing.” underlined.

He further stated that the world knows that during this period an effort was made and is still being made. “Steps were taken in many directions. We have not been able to root out these outbreaks at the level of mentality, pathogenesis, in a series of issues. But this cannot single-handedly erase the efforts that were made and are still being made in unfavorable conditions for Greece to take steps forward and change direction in a number of sectors. This is the big question. Who can do better with the Greece of yesterday? Because what we saw in Tempi, the dialogues we heard, are the Greece of yesterday.
