The president of SYRIZA-PS pledged that if a government is elected, it will bring wage increases, price reductions, debt settlement and an honest and efficient state
“So far, it’s time for a big political change, it’s time to bring justice back to the place,” said the president of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, Alexis Tsipras, addressing citizens in Nea Moudania, Halkidiki, who noted that “the the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, is in a panic and is telling shameless lies”.
Mr. Tsipras arrived in Nea Moudania in the rain, walked along the promenade, talked to shopkeepers and consumers and spoke to the citizens who welcomed him.
“It doesn’t matter that today is a rainy and cloudy day, the 21st of May will be a bright day, it will be a sunny day for our country, because the Greek people, the great majority of them, can no longer stand this course, this the downfall of the country”, said the president of SYRIZA and added: “Citizens can no longer bear the discredit and deception from a government that ordered the middle class, the workers, the young people a better life and deceived the employees, the free professionals, the middle class, retirees and targeted young people and workers. The worst thing about the country is not the discredit, it is not the false promises, it is that it has plunged it into a regime of deep corruption and worthlessness. They have taken Greece miles away from the European acquis”.
Some were demonstrating to stay in Europe.

Mr. Tsipras responded to the “monstrosity” that the Prime Minister said and emphasized: “Mr. Mitsotakis described as monstrosity a government of progressive cooperation in Greece. I want to tell him that if there is a monster that must be defeated it is his own government. The government of illegal surveillance, the government of accuracy, the government of corruption. This is the monster that ruled us all these years.”
Regarding Mr. Mitsotakis, he said that “they have taken him for granted in Europe and now he has no allies”, while he referred to yesterday’s meeting with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, pointing out: “There, in Berlin, he is no longer a close friend and ally of Mr. Mitsotakis. Mr. Schäuble is no more and he will not be able to say “enough Schäuble” when we will fight to stand up the society, to resurrect the society. His big problem is that today there are progressive governments and there is also a progressive government in Germany instead of Schäuble. A progressive government, which does not see the collaboration of progressive forces in Europe as a monstrosity, but sees as realistic and welcoming the prospect of a government that will try to restore stature to the international scene in Greece and shake up society and the economy. A progressive government will not only not be a monster, but will be the hope for a better tomorrow for the country, for society, for the Greek people”.
The president of SYRIZA also addressed the “conservative” citizens, who, as he said, “feel ashamed by a government that has nothing to do with the principles of the conservative faction.”
“Those who govern us today are not a party, they are a family limited company, Mitsotakis SA is. It is not New Democracy”, he noted and underlined: “Mr. Mitsotakis realizes that his time is running out, he is panicking and taking risks. He reaches the point of telling this shameless lie that SYRIZA brought the memoranda to the place, not New Democracy. His party bankrupted Greece twice, and it was the SYRIZA government that took the country out of the memorandums, settled the debt and left 37 billion in the public coffers to be managed by himself.”
The president of SYRIZA-PS pledged that if a government is elected, it will bring wage increases, price reductions, debt settlement and an honest and efficient state.
