The political scene is fluid and the mutual recriminations between the parties peak as the polls approach. From New Democracy, they emphasize that the appeal to the second elections is non-negotiable, even if they exorcise the relaxed vote on May 21.

“It’s the guide to self-reliance,” they keep pointing out.

Koumoundourou believes that Piraeus has changed its strategy and it is possible that Kyriakos Mitsotakis will use the first order and seek a minimum agreement with Nikos Androulakis. And this will happen if the victory of the New Democracy is marginal and with a small percentage.

In the majority camp, they don’t seem to be worried, as they say the “rift” with SYRIZA is opening and the party is regaining the strength it lost after the tragic accident in Tempe.

The official opposition maintains that New Democracy does not have any potential ally and is therefore isolated. Nikos Androulakis is constantly talking about a social democratic government and at the same time the monitoring of his cell phone still casts a “heavy shadow” on the relations between the two parties.

The relations of Alexis Tsipras with Nikos Androulakis are not at the best possible level.

The constant references of the president of SYRIZA to historical phrases of Andreas Papandreou have rung many “bells” in Harilaou Trikoupi who consider that this is a last attempt to penetrate into her own vital space. From Koumoundourou, they do not seek to raise the tone with PASOK, however, as long as the two “argue about the legacy of Andreas Papandreou” it is very difficult not to sour the spirits. Both have submitted their programs, but it is considered very difficult in the next two weeks to have any meaningful discussion on them.

At the same time, the opposition to the “leftist apartment building” holds up well.

Last week, Alexis Tsipras made it clear that he does not even want the tolerance of Yanis Varoufakis. He launched a new attack on the head of MeRA25 cutting, at least for the time being, every bridge. He even remembered his recordings in the first seven months of 2015. It is clear that the middle space has won his attention.

I’m sorry, because for a while we got along nicely in a nice fight. With anyone I have partnered with, even for a day in a good fight, it saddens me to see a moral slide, a moral descent”, was the answer of Mr. Varoufakis. SYRIZA’s relations with the KKE are also not in a good place after Dimitris Koutsoubas’ aversion to “stupid progressive governance”».

Not that Koumoundourou expected any post-election support from Perissos. They were simply not prepared to receive such heavy expressions.

But the KKE is also very strong in this year’s pre-election campaign, trying to break away from the 5% zone. It will be interesting to see if this whole atmosphere will be reflected in next Wednesday’s debate when the political leaders will be in the same studio.

Unfortunately the free question asked by the journalists was “cut off” and this proves how polarized the climate is, since the staffs do not want to leave anything to chance.

On the extreme right of the political spectrum, things are particularly worrying. What will happen if the Kasidiaris party enters the Parliament through the “back door”?

Some predict that if there are second elections, a coalition of extreme right-wing forces may be created.
