In his post on twitter, which he subsequently edited, the SYRIZA MEP argued that the deadly shipwreck in Pylos exposes Greece
The reaction of the secretary of the ND Pavlos Marinakis was caused by what the SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis argued in his post on Twitter, who in his initial post stated that the shipwreck exposes Greece, only to later reconstruct and write “it exposes those they had responsibility and possibility for their rescue”.
Mr. Marinakis states in his statement: At a time when the women and men of the Coast Guard are fighting hard at sea to save the lives of hundreds of people, Mr. Papadimoulis, continuing the unacceptable statements of members of the youth of SYRIZA, drags our country internationally by accusing the Coast Guard of “responsibility for rescue ».
He does not hesitate to politically exploit the tragic shipwreck in international waters off Pylos that shook Greek society.
He doesn’t find a word to say about the criminal networks of traffickers who put desperate people in danger, but he targets the rescuers.
The despicable trafficking networks must find the response they deserve and this can only be done through a coherent European policy, which New Democracy firmly supports.
Earlier, Mr. Papadimoulis had argued in his initial tweet:
But then he amended, writing:
The very dead shipwreck #Pylos with refugees and immigrants, it hurts European values and exposes those who had the responsibility and ability to save them.
