“In the June elections, an even more unfair, false-positive electoral law will apply that grabs seats from the KKE and other parties to give them as a bonus to the ND. In order to keep the 26 seats that the people decided to have in May, now our votes and percentages have to rise even more” emphasized the head of the Central Committee of the KKE. He said that against the anti-people government of the ND the people “need an even stronger KKE” and added that “the people of Achaia have every interest to re-elect Nikos Karathanasopoulos as MP and to raise the KKE as high as possible to help get elected and other communists, militant MPs in other districts”.

He noted that the strengthening of the KKE, especially in the working-class districts of the urban centers in areas where struggles developed, among private sector workers and among the youth “is the hopeful element in a generally negative correlation, which needs to be strengthened in the elections of Sunday”.

He said that “neither o SYRIZA nor the PASOK they can mount a real opposition to her government SWbecause they agree with its general direction, its strategy”.

“Only the KKE can exercise 100% popular, militant opposition to the government of the ND, precisely because it is the only strategic opponent of its policy” he underlined.

Asked about his opposition KKE regarding the Recovery Fund money that “will come from Europe”, D. Koutsoubas noted, in principle, that “the money does not come “from Europe”. This is money of the peoples of the EU – and of Greece – from taxation.”

“Another large part of the Recovery Fund is loans, which we and future generations will be called upon to repay. Finally, this money “systematically” goes to big businesses and for specific purposes that show a large percentage of profit and not for education, health, for anti-flood projects and anti-seismic shielding, for salary increases, etc. he added and emphasized: “Therefore, the attitude of each party towards the Recovery Fund must become a voting criterion for the people.”

He said that SYRIZA with its policies both in government and in opposition “disappointed thousands of people who voted for it in the last decade, cultivated in them the view that there is no alternative and sent many of them to the ND, others to abstention, while others who came from PASOK, they returned there”.

“The significant number of left-wing, progressive people who chose to join the KKE on May 21 may now become even larger. One more reason for this to happen is the disgusting argument that Mr. Tsipras from PASOK, saying that every vote that does not go to SYRIZA is “lost” and serves ND”, he emphasized.
