Theodorikakos: “Our goal is for New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis to have a strong self-reliance”
A tour of the prefecture of Kavala was carried out in view of the elections by a group of New Democracy led by the former Minister of Citizen Protection and candidate for Member of Parliament B3 South Sector of Athens Takis Theodorikakos and the former Deputy Minister of Tourism and candidate for Member of Parliament of Eastern Attica Sophia Zacharakis. During the tour, Mr. Theodorikakos and Mrs. Zacharakis, accompanied by the candidate deputies of the prefecture, the president and the members of the DEEP were in Chrysoupoli Kavala, they visited the City Hall where they had the opportunity to meet the Mayor and also to discuss with employees of the Municipality. Afterwards, they visited the Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos etc. Wreath.
In addition, they walked in the central market of Kavala and visited shops, cafes and restaurants while they were in the areas of Nea Iraklitsa, Nea Peramo, Nikisiani, Mesoropi and Eleftheroupolis where they talked with residents of the areas analyzing the programmatic positions of New Democracy for the next four years. The members of the ND echelon attended the athletics competitions that took place in Eleftheroupolis of the Municipality of Pangai with the participation of more than 600 young athletes from unions and clubs of Northern Greece, while they also gave statements to the mass media of the region regarding the goals of the next four years .
In his statements immediately after the end of the visits, the former Minister of Citizen Protection, candidate for Member of Parliament B3 South Sector of Athens Mr. Theodorikakos said: “I am in Kavala with great joy, together with my dear friend and colleague Sofia Zacharakis and the excellent candidates male and female MPs of Kavala prefecture. We are just four days before the very crucial and decisive match on June 25th. What matters is the result this Sunday. We must all realize that the Government we will have and the Parliament we will have depends entirely on the outcome of our vote this Sunday.
Our goal is for New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis to have a strong self-reliance. Strong self-reliance for the ND and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis means a safe Greece. It means security at our borders. It means tackling illegal immigration. Strong self-reliance of the ND means a better possibility for economic progress and well-being of all citizens. It means within 4 years 950 euros the minimum salary with the aim of reaching 1,500 euros for the average salary in the private sector. It means a strong drop in unemployment, even more so that all the Greek children who want to stay here in our country have a job. And this has a special value for the region of Kavala as well as for the entire region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Strong self-reliance for the ND next Sunday also means a better and more humane social state. With the health system upgraded, with 10,000 new recruitments of health personnel, so that all Greeks, all Greek women can enjoy all the medical services they are entitled to and deserve.
All this is in our hands. All this is in the hands of the citizens of Kavala. We ask the citizens of Kavala for an even greater percentage for the ND. The messages from all over Greece are positive and optimistic. And I am absolutely sure that no citizen will let his vote go to waste. The surest vote that takes place and will have a better result is the vote for ND”.
For her part, the former Deputy Minister of Tourism, candidate for Member of Parliament for Eastern Attica, Ms. Zacharakis, made the following statement: “We want to thank every citizen of the prefecture who supported New Democracy and gave it wings in the May 21 elections. What we want to point out with our presence here is our gratitude to the local organizations of the prefecture for the effort they made and continue to make, as well as to all the citizens. I want to believe that the decision they took on May 21st will be reaffirmed in an even stronger way on June 25th and the ND will achieve a strong result that will enable them to form a strong and self-reliant government. A result which will be a victory for every Greek woman and every Greek man. We do not divide citizens. We believe that unity in society is a key concept on which the ND government will implement its program for a modern, democratic Greece.
Progress is still a key concept in a county that puts it into practice. Allow me in my former capacity as Deputy Minister of Tourism to refer to a period which can have very positive results for Kavala and Thassos, but also for island Greece in general. The success, the success story, in the cruise sector, opens new perspectives for the region and gives the possibility for development in special forms of tourism that can contribute decisively to the development of the region and our homeland. But we are here for one more reason: I want to thank, as I told you, the citizens for the victory they gave us on May 21st and also to invite them to go to the polls en masse on June 25th. I ask them to read our program and compare it with that of other parties. And in the end, they should decide on a better future for themselves and their children, but also for our country.”
