We support the dialogue, but we have serious questions, stressed the president of the SYRIZA-PS parliamentary group, Sokratis Famellos, speaking about Greek-Turkish.

The president of the KO of SYRIZA-PS presented a series of questions that the official opposition has regarding the restart of the dialogue and the positioning of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

“What does it mean to retreat on issues of sovereignty”, he asked, to add meaningfully that “these are not said before the negotiation” He also characteristically asked whether the disagreement on the EEZ, on the continental shelf is “the main or the only difference”, as and whether “it is legal or geopolitical” as Kyriakos Mitsotakis claimed yesterday.

“Will Greece set conditions for the sale of F 16s to Turkey?”, continued Mr. Famellos speaking “in Kokkino”, also wondering “if Greece will set the agenda in the discussion on Euro-Turkish relations, which the president initiated of the European Council Charles Michel”.

“We must be careful in the wording, but at the same time there must be dialogue and the prospect of peace”, repeated Sokratis Famellos, adding that SYRIZA-PS “has established that it is a patriotic force”.

“The way Kyriakos Mitsotakis is positioned has created a concern for us, but we put a positive agenda in the government because we are not the same as New Democracy”, continued the president of the KO of the official opposition party.

“We want the exploratory dialogue and confidence-building measures to go forward,” he said, adding that “we are not swayed by the stance New Democracy took in Prespes.” Regarding the Prespa Agreement, Sokratis Famellos requested that the three agreements with North Macedonia be brought to the Parliament.
