Next Sunday, September 3, PASOK’s celebrations for the completion of 49 years since its foundation will take place in Zappeion.

Central theme of the events, as announced by Char. Trikoupi, it will be climate change, after this summer’s devastating fires.

In this context, at 18:00 in the peristyle of Zappeion, an open debate will be held on “Modern challenges: Climate change, natural disasters and sustainable development”.

The speakers will be Haris Doukas Professor of energy and environmental policy at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA and candidate for mayor of Athens, Michalis Chalaris Secretary of the Civil Protection Department of PASOK-Movement for Change, Evanthia Sismanoglou Project Manager at the company EV Loader (startup for electric vehicles) and Giorgos Karamanolis Digital Governance, Innovation & Technology Advisor, Coordinator of the Digital Society action. The debate is moderated by journalist Andreas Papadopoulos.

In addition, at 20:00 in the forecourt of Zappeion, the political speech of Nikos Androulakis is expected.

While in the context of the festival atmosphere that prevailed during the September 3rd celebrations last year, a concert will follow with Laki Papadopoulos, Nikos Ziogala and Yiannis Yokarini.
