Wishes for Happy Birthday, Health, Prosperity and Peace were received by the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou along with Christmas carols at the Presidential Palace.

As every year, the Christmas event at the Presidency started with the Band of the Armed Forces and the Presidential Guard, who sang traditional Christmas carols to the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and exchanged wishes ahead of the holidays.

They were followed successively by the Cretan Vrakoforos Club, who accompanied the Christmas carols with Cretan melodies and danced traditional dances in honor of the President, dedicating a mandinada to her with wishes for health and prosperity.

Traditional carols from Ikaria and from the President’s native Thrace were sung by the award-winning youth choir Rosarte, and immediately after, the Rainbow Families sang the carols and wished the President.

With traditional Karpathos mantinades and traditional dances from the beautiful unspoiled island, the Fraternity of Olympians of Karpathos “Demitra” wished Mrs. Sakellaropoulou, with their President thanking Mrs. Sakellaropoulou for her visit to their island.

A message of unity and thanks to Greece and the President of the Republic for its support in the effort to resolve the Cyprus issue, the Folk Dance Club “Enalia Gi” of the Federation of Cypriot Organizations of Greece, together with Cypriot Christmas carols and wishes for health and Happy Birthday.

Christmas carols were also sung to the President by the young students, who participate in the remedial teaching of the Day Center for Roma “Klimaka” accompanied by their teacher and finally the children of the 1st Primary School of Pallini.

Afterwards, Mrs. Sakellaropoulou exchanged greetings with the journalists, photographers and cameramen, who covered the event at the Presidential Palace and was photographed with them next to the Christmas tree.

It is worth noting that this year the Garden of the Presidential Palace has put on its festive clothes, expecting to welcome young and old visitors, who will enjoy Christmas tunes and enjoy the bright Athenian sun.
