ND accuses SYRIZA of using extreme hate speech and engaging in political grave-digging.
“THE SYRIZA who co-governed with the far-right and whose dominant tendency is polarization, now acquires Kasidiaris rhetoric”, the ND says in a statement, on the occasion of his statements SYRIZA-PS MEP candidate, Nikos Pappas.
As Piraeus points out, “SYRIZA MEP candidate Nikos Pappas, in his television interview, spoke of a “government of murderers” and “a government that rapes democracy” and said that he agrees with the “hangings”, asking the citizens when the time of the ballot “to punish the murderers”. At the same time, he also attacked the voters, calling them “comfortable” and accusing them of being responsible for the way they vote…”
Also, the ND accuses SYRIZA for “extreme hate speech” and “political grave digging”. “The party that set up sad television shows, while it was demonstrably aware of the existence of the dead, today uses extreme hate speech and engages in political grave-digging for the tragedy of Tempe,” he says.
“We have a duty to prevent hatred and toxicity in public speech”, adds the ND in its announcement and called on the president of SYRIZA Stefanos Kasselakis “to condemn and isolate within his party voices that articulate such vulgar language”.
“If he doesn’t do it, he will prove that he is the orchestrator of a plan to divide our society, which refers to the “dark” period of 2015-2019, which Greece has fortunately left behind for good,” emphasizes ND.
“Justice is investigating all aspects of the tragedy in order to provide answers and to punish the guilty”, ND concludes in its statement.
