Mr. Skylakakis underlined that a key feature of this motion of no confidence is that it lacks serious alternative proposals for the governance of the country
The motion of no confidence was filed because of Mr. Androulakis’s anxiety about the possibility of coming third in the European elections, and the collapse of SYRIZA’s percentages, said the Minister of Environment and Energy Theodoros Skylakakis, speaking in the debate that is developing in the Plenary. Mr. Skylakakis underlined that a key feature of this motion of no confidence is that it lacks serious alternative proposals for the governance of the country.
“Today’s PASOK, heir to an important and historic party for the Post-colonization, Mr. Androulakis also denies this reforming part of his past, apparently under the stress of the European elections and the possibility of coming third behind Mr. Kasselakis, is trying to build alliances with some media, turning a leading parliamentary institution into a follow-up to a publication that has added nothing new. I am also impressed that PASOK also discovers the long-standing wrongdoings in OSE, even though it also ruled for a very long time and knows how OSE got to where it is and how we received OSE in 2019, with the weaknesses it had, but why should it let’s say this, the subsequent management”, said the Minister of Environment and Energy and added that “PASOK, while seeing the dissolution of its main political opponent in the Center-Left, cannot take even one of the five voters, they have left him”.
But also for SYRIZA-PS which submitted the motion of no confidence, Theodoros Skylakakis said that the official opposition tabled this motion without having to propose anything serious for the governance of the country. “Mr. Kasselakis is obvious that today he is a foreign body, even in his party. He proves at every opportunity – what he said about the motion of no confidence is a typical example – that he has neither political thought nor political judgment”, said the Minister of Environment and Energy and added that SYRIZA, in these five years, has managed to be defeated in all the matches he took part in, “there was not a ballot box that was set up and he did not lose”, “he was divided, collapsed in percentages and the talk is whether his leader will leave, as unsuitable”.
In this spirit, the Minister of Environment and Energy addressed the two parties, saying: “With these facts, are you asking for the government to leave? In my opinion, today’s motion of no confidence will be recorded in parliament, as an untimely act. It’s your right to do it but know that with it, your weakness is just recognized.”
Regarding last Sunday’s publication, Mr. Skylakakis commented that “it did not add anything new to what we already knew” and noted that the state television and other media had presented this a year before and therefore what mainly emerges , and from the publication, is that in the tragic accident of Tempe, the institutional Authorities and above all the Justice have all the information necessary to form a judgment, i.e. they have all the right facts.
“The opposition tabled the motion of no confidence, without including in this motion serious alternative proposals for the governance of the country. All he wants is to keep the Tempe issue alive politically. Not the scrutinization of the Justice and the rendering of justice, but to keep it politically alive, for its own political reasons. I think this will not succeed and the next phase will be for Tempi to find its justification by the Court and the policy pursued by the government will find its justification in the upcoming European elections”, said the Minister of Environment and Energy.
