Relations with North Macedonia and Albaniathe European elections and the party toursthe health and the accuracy were discussed during the interview of the Minister of State, Maki Voridison TV station Action24.

In fact, focusing on the issue of deficiencies in the National Health System, the Minister of State launched a fierce attack against Mr. Kasselakis and Androulakis, whom he described as “populists who want to make a living until the elections”.

Starting, in detail, from the issue of North Macedonia, on the occasion of today’s interview of the Greek Prime Minister (on Open), the Minister of State explained: “If their choice is to isolate themselves internationally, what to do, it is their choice. They have the problem, we don’t.” In any case, he added, “it is not only a matter of Europe, it is a wider matter of their presence in the international community. The keys to the European road are held by Greece in a certain way, and the international community does not deal well with this type of back and forth”.

On the other hand, “this country agreed to be called something and now it cannot be called something else”, that is why all international interventions are “clear, unequivocal”.

At this point, he criticized the positions of the opposition parties, from the left and from the right, on this specific issue: “I have SYRIZA, which at this juncture, with these statements”, requests the ratification of the memorandums. “It’s what we say ‘I rest my case’ after that. It is the most wrong thing that could be said”, pointed out M. Voridis.

And at the same time, the right-wing opposition asks “to denounce the Prespa Agreement, taking the burden of the denunciation to the international community. Me, that is, to be exposed to the international community. Other than others, fortunately we have Mitsotakis”, he concluded.

Regarding the Greek-Albanian relations, he underlined that “the candidacy of Fredis Beleris symbolizes the defense of the rule of law and the defense of the rights of the Greek minority in Albania, the Northerners. The main choice of “Omonoia” is the elected mayor Heimarras. The candidacy (s.s. Beleris) on the ND ballot for the European Parliament is essentially a strong patriotic message in Greece, which Albania must receive and his upvoting is actually a message to those who keep him imprisoned”.

At this point, however, the Minister of State also had a message to pass on to the Prime Minister of Albania: “Mr. Rama says that in 2030 he wants the accession (of Albania) to the European Union, we will support it 100 %. But with one condition: respecting the rights of our minority in Albania and observing the principles of the rule of law that were flagrantly violated in the Beleri case.” And, in the event of his election, Fr. Beleris will speak “about the rights of the minority in the European Parliament. Sound intervention, strong presence”.

In conclusion, “I expect what Mr. Rama verbally proclaims about friendships, about love, good understanding with Greece, to see them in practice”, he further interpreted.

Changing the subject, he said that the image he has gained from his tours in the Peloponnese is “extremely positive”. He clarified, however, that he would not like the elections to take place this Sunday, on the grounds that “every day is getting better and better and we are coming into contact with a world, we need time to come into contact with it”. It seems that the New Democracy has collected the leak to its right, he also argued, recalling that opinion polls usually underestimate the ND, after all, in the last national elections they did not give it a percentage of 41%, he added.

Also, M. Voridis wondered how it is possible to collapse “the Health System with increases in doctors’ salaries?” With an increase in the health budget by 2 billion, 50% more? With 6,500 recruits? With 550 million spent on infrastructure to rebuild our Health Centers, our hospitals?”.

However, he acknowledged, at the same time, that “problems are appearing in specific parts of the Health System, great efforts are being made and the problems are being addressed. It’s not that easy every time.”

In relation to this issue, he attacked the leaderships of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance and PASOK-KINAL: Mr. Kasselakis and Mr. Androulakis, who say that the NSS is collapsing, are “populists who want to make a living until the elections” , he mentioned and accused them of making an opposition only in terms of populism, hence “there is no proposal” from their side.

He reiterated, however, that he never said there were no problems. But, he continued, “every day thousands of people are hospitalized in this Health System that does not exist and is collapsing.”

Finally, regarding the problem of accuracy, Kasselakis criticized the first reaction to Mitsotakis’ letter to the European Commission, and even “the next second”, as he characteristically said. The official opposition leadership asks Kyriakos Mitsotakis “to take measures in Greece for the pricing of multinationals in Europe, listen to what the people are saying”, he commented.

This was followed by the response of the European Commission, which recognizes that the Prime Minister of Greece “highlights a very big issue, together with the whole grid for the regulation of the market”, said the Minister of State, who concluded:

“Again lies and above all again away from the national race. Because it is a national struggle for the member states to try to pit the multinationals against them in order to create a regulatory framework that will effectively protect the consumer. Who is taking on this fight? Mitsotakis. Who is up against this fight? The opposition,” he noted and concluded by saying that the fight against accuracy is ongoing.
