Nikos Pappas criticized the government in full in the Plenary, with the president of the SYRIZA parliamentary group trying to open the fan, putting the burning issues of current affairs on the table.

Taking the floor, after the intervention of Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the bill for the completion of the digital cadastre, Nikos Pappas asked for an explanation for the fire that has been raging for the 3rd day in Mountainous Corinthia: “I heard him sympathize with the families. We are all grateful for the extraordinary efforts of the firefighters. But there is no see you later. I’ll see you now. He should be in this room to explain to us. Why are there 4000 organic gaps? Why do the fires stop at sea and in the urban fabric?”

“Is he afraid of his image becoming gray in the news? Not to give an explanation for beating a fellow human being to death? An explanation for the death of a fellow human being at AT Panteleimonas?’ he pointed out, looking towards the seats of the blue parliamentarians and asking himself: “Doesn’t this attitude offend you? You gentlemen of the parliamentary majority. What a poor performance Kyriakos Mitsotakis gave here. Let’s understand if he thinks he’s proud or if he needs to justify something.”

Referring to the train accident in Tempi, Nikos Pappas described the prime minister as the “high priest of the attempt to cover up”, adding that SYRIZA will exhaust every parliamentary means for the truth to shine. “The country needs a big democratic change. In this progressive change, SYRIZA will be strengthened and will play a leading role. We will be here and demand answers,” he added.
