On a different wavelength in relation to the official proposal of SYRIZA for the banks, Pavlos Polakis appeared today, clarifying that National Bank should become public again.
Intervening in yesterday’s debate on the state budget, the new president of the party, Sokratis Famellos, proposed “an active presence of the state in the National Bank” referring also to the share capital, maintaining, however, that the proposal of SYRIZA “does not mean sea loans, does not mean Rousseff recruitments, does not mean means statism”.
In fact, talking to parliamentary editors a little later, he argued that the proposal of SYRIZA is not the proposal of Pavlos Polakis regarding the nationalization of Ethniki.
“We have a net loss of 8.5 billion euros at least from the National Government alone. Why don’t we take her back?”, the Chanio MP said this morning from the floor of the Parliament, stressing that something could be done in three ways. “Why do we want to take back the National Team? Because we want to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises”, he added.
