The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China.
According to a statement from the House, Mr Kaklamanis stressed that, despite the geographical distance that divides Greece with China, the two countries are possessed by mutual respect and rely on the fundamental principles and values of the United Nations Charter. Frequent exchanges of high -ranking officials visits the importance of the two countries’ relations. The Speaker of the House specifically referred to the visit of the Greek Prime Minister to Beijing in November 2023 and the visit of the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Laiko Congress a year later to Athens.
For his part, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, after thanking the Services of the House and its President for the successful visit of the Chinese bond three months ago, expressed the belief that the Chinese School of Classical Studies in Piraeus Inaugurated during the official visit, it will be an important link to the development and cooperation of the two countries in a variety of sectors.
